Vincent Hannwacker was born in Munich in 1997.
He studied media art in Julian Rosefeldt's class at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and graduated as Meisterschüler in 2024. 
He also studied Screenwriting at the University of Television and Film Munich from where he also graduated in 2024.
In 2021 he won the ARD Degeto Impuls Prize together with Lea Neu.
In 2022 he won the Playground Art Prize for his video work Der Selbstmord der Susanne Kuhn.
In 2023 he studied at the Accademia Belle Arti Bologna.
