Vincent Hannwacker was born in Munich in 1997.
He studied media art in Julian Rosefeldt's class at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich and graduated as his Meisterschüler in 2024. 
He also studied Screenwriting at the University of Television and Film Munich from where he also graduated in 2024.
In 2021 he won the ARD Degeto Impuls Prize together with Lea Neu.
In 2022 he won the Playground Art Prize.
In 2024 he received the scholarship for Fine Arts of the city of Munich.
