The classic nuclear family. We see the four different family members in everyday situations in which they are observed by the camera. The father chops vegetables in the kitchen and prepares dinner, while the mother answers the last emails on her computer. The teenage daughter practises the electric guitar in her room and the son takes a bath to cool off. Because all four of them are struggling with the heat and the sweat running down their skin. Ventilators are running, letters are turned into fans.
At some point, the mother goes out onto the balcony to water the dried-out plants. She feels a drop, looks up and stretches out her hand. Is it starting to rain? Her gaze remains directed upwards, but that seems to be it. She goes back inside and the camera reveals that she wasn't on a real balcony at all: The whole flat is a facade.
